Bio: Throughout high school Kevin was a xc-runner and skier.
During the summers he would mountain bike race to stay in shape. He graduated
high school in 2000 and went on to the University of Vermont where he ran cross
country his freshman year. In the spring of 2001 Kevin joined the UVM Cycling
Club as a way to avoid track. He instantly fell in love with the road racing
team and scene. Racing all summer long he moved up the ranks from a cat 5 in
April to cat 2 in August. The following year Kevin became an integral part of
the UVM Cycling team and joined the USCF G.S. Mengoni Team. Again, racing throughout
the summer, he earned his cat 1 upgrade in addition to an invite to Belgium
with the US National Espoir (U-23) Team. The following year he split his time
between the collegiate races with UVM, local races with Hawley ATA-Bikes, and
a stay in Belgium with the National team for 6 weeks. In 2004 Kevin will be
graduating with a major in Nutrition and a concentration in pre-med. Kevin plans
to give it one last go at the Collegiate National Championships in the spring
in Madison WI. From there Kevin will be heading off to Europe with the U-23
National Team again. When he returns he will have the experience and fitness
to further help make Louis Garneau one of the most dominant amateur teams in
the East.
