| Bio:Teddy ran XC and track in high school. His mediocre collegiate running career was
derailed after a short 7 months by injuries, but he still harbored dreams of distance runner superstardom. However,
after six months of cross training on the elliptical machines in the Williams College Estrogym, his injury had not improved
and so he gave up on returning to running. The Estrogym girls didn't notice or fully appreciate his hardcore elliptical
workouts, and without his own copy of Cosmo to read on the machine he never quite fit in. And so began the Sedentary
Period. The following summer, Teddy and some friends decided to do a cross-country bike tour, and so he started riding
in preparation. Completely converted to cycling by the end of the summer, he rode in his first race as soon as the trip
was finished. Ten months later and with a patchy first winter of base miles in his legs, Teddy finds himself moving
through the USCF rankings and really hopes that he is still low on the bike racing learning curve. Although it is tough
for him to part ways with his purple, cow-spotted Williams jersey, he is excited to contribute to the Louis Garneau
squad's successes. |
